DINNER AND DESSERT KABOBS

INGREDIENTS:

- For the Dinner Kabobs:

1 pound steak cut into 2-inch cubes

8 large shrimp de-veined and shelled

1 small red onion cut into 1-inch pieces

1 red pepper cut into 1-inch pieces

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

salt and pepper to taste

- For the Dessert Kabobs:

2 peaches cut into quarters

1 cup pineapple cut into 1-inch cubes

6 large strawberries cut in half

1 tbsp cinnamon

1 tbsp olive oil

1/4 cup balsamic glaze

INSTRUCTIONS:

- For the Dinner Kabobs:

Season the shrimp with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Season the steak with salt and pepper. Start the skewer with the vegetables. Then slide a piece of steak onto the skewer. Add another one of the cut vegetables, alternating between the pepper and onion. Add a piece of shrimp.

Continue to alternate the vegetables and ingredients until each skewer has 4 shrimp and 4 steak pieces.

Brush olive oil on the completed skewers so that they don’t stick to the grill when cooking. Set aside.

- For the Dessert Kabobs:

Add the chopped fruit to a bowl and toss the fruit in the cinnamon.

Add each piece of fruit to the skewer and alternate between each variety of fruit.

Brush olive oil on the completed skewers so that they don’t stick to the grill when cooking.

Heat one side of the grill to medium and the other to high. Add the dinner kabobs to the high side and the dessert kabobs to the medium.

Cook the dinner kabobs for about 5 minutes and set them aside to rest. Leave the dessert kabobs on the grill for an additional 3 minutes.

When the dessert kabobs are ready to come off, drizzle on some balsamic glaze.
